The winner entries have been published in a special edition of El·lipse, the monthly publication of the PRBB.

Introduction

Welcome to the third edition of the El·lipse Award for Science Popularization. The aim of the award is to foster life science communication to the general public. In its 2011 edition, in collaboration with the Pasqual Maragall Foundation and within the framework of the Alzheimer Internacional 2011 inititative, the prize will be awarded to the works that best communicate any aspect related to

the biology of memory


from a scientific point of view (for example, the biochemistry of memory, its biological bases, the diseases that cause its alteration and the potential treatments to recover it).

The "Premi ellipse" is open to any person over 18, regardless of their scientific education.


Brain_biology


Categories

Written works: including narration, essay or other formats (e.g. poetry, theatre script, etc.) and can be written in Catalan, Spanish or English.

Graphic works: can include from illustrations to comics, can be in colour or black and white, and can be done using any technique
